What does a Teacher Earn?
To start a teacher will earn between $49,371 and $63,433 per year pending a Salary Assessment of qualifications and experience. This assessment will normally take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
What does a Teacher do?
You will share your extensive knowledge, skills and experience to help our students achieve their goals. A training plan is in place for each class which will guide you through the set of topics to cover in each course.
We pride ourselves on our quality teaching staff demonstrating their craft, providing encouragement and guidance to all students.
You will be required to work 36.25 hours per week of which includes class teaching time, lesson preparation, assessment of students' work and/or assignments, and your own training and development.
Minimum qualifications
Demonstrated currency of competence across the facilitation, assessment, content and industry relationship areas of Vocational Education and Training System in Queensland. These competencies may be demonstrated through the successful completion of BSZ40198 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training OR TAA 40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent .
Applicants without competencies and have trade skills which are identified as a skills shortage area may apply to enrol in our Teaching and Learning Skills Program to receive the required training during the first 6 months of their employment.
Other Qualifications

Current industry experience and trade qualifications equal to or higher than the relevant delivery area.

A Diploma or Degree in Education or Teaching is highly desirable.
