Entitlements

Teaching Staff are entitled to 4 weeks recreation leave and 5 weeks Non Attendance time in accordance with the TAFE Teachers Award.

Non Teaching Administrative Staff (Public Service Award) are entitled to 5 weeks recreation leave.

Non Teaching Operational Staff (Employees Of Queensland Government Departments (Other Than Public Servants) Award - State ) are entitled to 4 weeks recreation leave.

Non Teaching Engineering Staff (Engineering Award) are entitled to 4 weeks recreation leave.

Annual leave loading of 17.5%.

Up to 12.75% employer super contribution.

Salary Packaging through Remuneration Services.

10 days sick leave and 5 days leave for personal leave.

Paid Maternity Leave according to the applicable award.

Long Service Leave accrues to 13 weeks on the completion of 7 years of service.

You are paid a locality allowance, if applicable. Depends on criteria such as location and personal circumstances.

Rewards and recognition
The Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE provides a range of benefits and mechanisms to encourage and support the recognition, reward, attraction, retention and growth of staff. Annually, the Institute has a series of award programs, both internally and externally, to recognise staff performance and achievements.
